Ride on, Eliza The moment Eliza saw the bike she knew it was her way out of the vacuous pit of a town she regrettably called home. Though its paint was chipped and worn and the foamy innards of the seat spilled out; she new it was for her and her alone.
She approached the door of the house with caution. In this small of a town, you knew everyone, and in this case, an unfamiliar door would offer comfort. She knew who lived here. She would have to play this the right way.
The door rang, some simple tonal song... why do birds, suddenly appear. Scuffling and the door opened and an unfortunately familiar, hairy middle-aged man looked past her and then down to Eliza's wiry 15 year-old frame.
